Introduce Yourself FAQ
CLICK TO EXPANDWelcome to the ShortVi community! This category is the front door of our forum, dedicated to welcoming new members, video editors, and content creators. Take a moment to start a thread and introduce yourself to the community. Share details about your content niche, what software you use, what camera gear you edit with, and what your long-term goals are as a creator. Networking and building relationships with other creators is a major catalyst for growth. Welcome aboard, and let's build together!
Q: How should I introduce myself to the community?
Create a new topic in this category and share: 1) Your name/username, 2) Your content niche (e.g., tech reviews, gaming, lifestyle vlogs), 3) Your favorite video editing software (Premiere, Resolve, CapCut), and 4) What you hope to learn or share in this community.
Q: Can I post a link to my channel in my introduction?
Yes, you can share a link to your channel or portfolio in your introduction so members can see your style. However, keep the focus on introducing yourself and engaging in conversation rather than spamming subscription requests.
Q: How do I connect with other creators in my niche?
Read through other introduction threads, leave welcoming comments, and ask questions about their processes. You can also edit your profile to add your interests, making it easier for like-minded creators to find you.
Q: Where should I go after making my introduction?
Head over to the Video Critique forum to get feedback on your work, explore the general topics in YouTube & Shorts, or check out the Freelance Job Board if you are looking for editing clients.
