I’m using OBS Studio 30.2 with an RTMP output to YouTube, and my bitrate is set to 6000 Kbps (CBR) with a 1080p60 canvas. My upload speed is solid – around 50 Mbps – and I’m on a wired connection. Yet, I keep seeing frame drops in OBS’s stats, especially when I switch scenes or move windows around. The stream looks fine on my end, but viewers report stuttering and buffering. I’ve tried lowering the bitrate to 4500, switching from CBR to CBR with keyframe interval 2, and even tried the new SRT protocol, but nothing seems to help. I’m running a Ryzen 9 5900X with an RTX 3080, so CPU and GPU usage are low (under 30%). Is there something obvious I’m missing with the encoder settings or the RTMP ingest?
