How to structure a video editing portfolio that gets you hired in 2026?
Hey everyone, I've been editing for about 3 years now, mostly freelance gigs for local businesses and a few YouTubers. I want to step up my game and land bigger clients, but my current portfolio is just a random collection of my best edits with no real structure. I've been told that showing a reel isn't enough anymore—clients want to see specific niches and case studies. What's the best way to organize a portfolio site in 2026? Should I focus on a single niche (like tech reviews or vlogs) or show versatility? Also, how many projects should I include, and what kind of breakdown (before/after, workflow, etc.) do clients actually care about?
