DMCA Takedown on YouTube for a Cover Song – What Are My Options?

Hey everyone, I'm a small creator (around 12k subs) and I just got hit with a DMCA takedown on my latest video – a cover of a popular song. I used the original instrumental (I thought it was royalty-free, but apparently not) and sang my own vocals. The claim says it's from the publisher and the video has been blocked worldwide. I've never dealt with this before. I know YouTube has a dispute process, but I'm scared of copyright strikes and getting my channel terminated. What's the smartest move here? Should I dispute it, or is there a way to get it back up without legal trouble? Also, is there any way to monetize a cover legally in the future? I've seen other creators do covers and they seem fine. Thanks for any advice!

Reels blowing up but zero followers converting — what am I missing?

Hey everyone! I've been posting daily Reels for about 3 months now, and I'm getting solid views (some hit 500k+) but my follower count is stuck at 2,300. My content is mostly travel/vlogging with quick cuts and trending audio. I've checked my analytics, and my watch time is above average (around 80% for most Reels), but the 'follows from Reels' metric is almost zero. I'm starting to think the algorithm is pushing my content to the wrong audience or something. I've tried adding clear calls to action like 'follow for more' in the caption and verbally, but it doesn't seem to help. I also post consistently at the same time every day (7 PM EST). My profile is set to public, and I have a clear niche (budget travel tips). Could it be my profile aesthetics? Or is there a specific strategy to convert viewers into followers on Reels? I'd love to hear what's worked for you all — especially if you've cracked the code on turning viral views into long-term followers.

Why is my AdSense RPM dropping despite higher views?

Hey everyone, I've been making Shorts for about a year now, and my channel has been growing steadily. Last month, I finally got monetized and enabled AdSense. The first two weeks were great—my RPM was around $0.12, which I thought was decent for Shorts. But in the last week, my RPM has dropped to $0.03, even though my daily views have actually gone up from 50k to 80k. My content is the same style, same length, same audience (mostly US and UK), and I haven't changed anything in my upload schedule or editing. I'm using the YouTube Shorts feed, and my videos are between 15-25 seconds long. I've checked my AdSense dashboard and it says my RPM is calculated based on estimated earnings divided by page views. But why would it drop so much when my views are higher? Could it be the type of ads being shown? Or is there something about the Shorts Feed that changes how ads are served? I've also noticed that some of my videos are getting flagged as 'not suitable for most advertisers' even though they're just gaming clips with no swearing or violence. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to stabilize my RPM?

Best OBS Settings for 1080p60 Twitch Stream with Single PC Setup?

Hey everyone, I'm about to start streaming on Twitch and I'm trying to nail down my OBS settings for a clean 1080p60 stream. My rig is a single PC: Ryzen 7 5800X, RTX 3070, 32GB RAM, and I have a 500 Mbps down / 50 Mbps up connection. I mainly stream FPS games like Valorant and Apex Legends. I've read conflicting advice on encoder choice and bitrate limits. I know Twitch recommends 6000 kbps max for non-partnered streamers, but I've seen some people push to 8000. Also, should I use NVENC (new) or x264 for my CPU/GPU combo? I want to avoid dropped frames and keep quality high without killing my in-game FPS. Any tips on preset, keyframe interval, and advanced settings would be super helpful!

Best AI tools for automatic captioning and clip repurposing in 2026?

Hey everyone, I've been diving deep into AI tools lately to speed up my workflow. I'm specifically looking for something that can automatically generate accurate captions (with proper punctuation and speaker labels) and then repurpose long-form content into shorts or TikToks. I've tried a few options like Opus Clip and Descript, but the captions often have errors or the repurposed clips miss key context. What are you all using in 2026 that actually works well? I'm on a Windows PC with Premiere Pro, but I'm open to cloud-based solutions too. Also, I'm curious about any tools that can handle multiple languages—I have a growing audience in Spanish and German. I've heard about some new AI models that can translate and sync captions in real-time, but I'm not sure which ones are production-ready. Any recommendations or workflows you've found effective?

Best way to find collab partners for a travel documentary series?

Hey everyone! I'm planning a travel documentary series focused on hidden gems in Southeast Asia, but I realize I can't do it alone. I'm a decent videographer and editor, but I lack experience in sound design and color grading for a cinematic look. I'm looking for collab partners who specialize in those areas, preferably people who are also passionate about travel and storytelling. I've tried a few Facebook groups and Reddit, but most people seem flaky or just want to promote their own channels without committing to a project. Has anyone here successfully found reliable collaborators for a multi-episode series? Any tips on vetting partners or structuring the collaboration so everyone benefits? I'm open to revenue sharing or even paying for specific services, but I want to make sure it's a fair deal.
