Best gimbal for Sony A7IV with heavy lens? DJI RS 3 Pro vs RS 4 Pro?
Hey everyone! I've been shooting with my Sony A7IV for about a year now, mostly run-and-gun documentary style. My main lens is the Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II, which is fairly heavy, and I sometimes add a wireless mic receiver on the camera. I'm looking to buy my first gimbal, and I'm torn between the DJI RS 3 Pro and the RS 4 Pro. I know the RS 4 Pro is newer and has the automated axis locks, but is it worth the extra $200? I've seen some reviews saying the RS 3 Pro is still a beast, especially after the firmware updates. I'll be using it for handheld walking shots and some low-angle tracking. Also, do I need the focus motor for autofocus, or will the camera's AF work well enough? Any real-world advice would be awesome, especially from Sony shooters. Thanks!
