Hey everyone! I’ve been working on a nature documentary reel for months, and I finally finished a 4K cut. The goal is to showcase my skills in cinematography, color grading, and sound design to attract potential clients or collaborators. I’ve put together a 2-minute highlight reel featuring slow-motion shots of birds, macro footage of insects, and sweeping drone shots of forests and rivers.
I’m using a Sony FX3 with a 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II lens, and I graded everything in DaVinci Resolve using the DaVinci Wide Gamut color space. I’m particularly proud of the color contrast between the warm sunrise scenes and the cooler forest shots. However, I’m not entirely sure if the pacing is right, and I’d love feedback on the overall flow and whether the sound design feels immersive.
I’ve attached a link to the unlisted YouTube video. Please let me know what you think—especially if you’ve worked on similar projects. What would you change or improve? Any critique is welcome, as long as it's constructive!
