Hey everyone! I'm working on a multicam interview project where I shot with a Sony A7 IV (S-Log3) and a Panasonic GH6 (V-Log). Both are great cameras, but the color science is totally different, and I'm struggling to match them in DaVinci Resolve. I've tried using the color match tool but it only works with a color checker in the frame, and I didn't use one. I've also tried manually adjusting the primaries, but I keep chasing my tail.
What's the most efficient way to match two cameras that have different color science and log profiles? Do you use color space transform (CST) first, then match? Or do you rely on scopes and manual adjustments? Any tips on matching skin tones specifically? I'm using Resolve 18.6, and I have the Studio version, so I have access to all the tools. Thanks for any help!
