Best AI tools for automatic subtitling and translation in 2026?

I've tried YouTube's auto-captions, but they're often inaccurate and the translation feature is limited. What are the best AI tools out there right now for this? Now my channel is getting 3x the views (around 500k/month), but my AdSense revenue has actually dropped by 40%. My RPM is down to like $1.50–$2.00 on Shorts, and I'm barely covering my editing software subscription. I know Shorts have lower RPM traditionally, but this feels extreme. I'm using the YouTube Studio dashboard and I've checked my CPM – it's around $4–5, but the RPM is tanking because of the 45% revenue share and lower ad density. Has anyone successfully balanced Shorts and long-form to stabilize income? Or should I just ditch Shorts entirely and go back to long-form? I'm also curious if the YouTube Shorts Fund is even worth applying for – I heard it's being phased out in 2026.
