How do you handle client revisions when they keep asking for 'minor tweaks' without extra pay?
I've been freelancing as a video editor for about two years now, and I keep running into the same issue: clients asking for endless revisions long after the project is 'done.' I usually include two rounds of revisions in my contract, but somehow every client finds a way to squeeze in a third or fourth round by calling them 'minor tweaks'—like adjusting a color grade slightly, swapping a music track, or re-timing a few cuts. They say it's 'just a small thing,' but these add up and eat into my time for other paying gigs. I want to keep my clients happy and get good reviews, but I also don't want to be a pushover. How do you guys handle this? Do you charge extra after a certain number of revisions? Or do you build unlimited revisions into your rate? And what's the best way to phrase it in a contract or in an email so it doesn't sound rude? I'm based in the US, and I mostly work with small businesses and YouTubers, if that helps.
