I've tried a few mobile apps like CapCut and InShot, but I'm not sure which one is the best for speed and quality in 2026. I mainly need to cut clips, add captions, and maybe some basic color grading. Also, I've heard about the new AI features in some apps—are they worth it?

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, and I usually shoot in 4K. I want to avoid losing quality when exporting, and I also need a reliable way to sync with my PC workflow if possible. What's your go-to app and why? Any hidden gems or settings I should know about?

I've been using CapCut for over a year now and it's honestly become my go-to for Shorts. The auto-captions are super accurate, and the new AI 'text-to-video' feature is a game changer for b-roll. For color, I just apply a LUT from my PC—you can import them directly. Make sure you export in 4K at 60fps for maximum quality, and turn off 'Upload to Cloud' to avoid compression. It also has a desktop version that syncs projects via cloud, so you can start on mobile and finish on PC. Highly recommend!

CapCut is great, but if you want a more professional color grading pipeline, check out LumaFusion. It's a paid app, but it supports 4K 10-bit HDR, and you can use color wheels and curves like in Resolve. It also has a 'project transfer' via Files app, so you can AirDrop or upload to Google Drive and open on your iPad or Mac. For captions, it's not as automatic, but you can use a separate app like 'AutoCap' and then import the SRT file. For quick edits, I'd stick with CapCut, but for serious mobile editing, LumaFusion is worth the money.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I tried CapCut and LumaFusion, but I think I'll stick with CapCut for the AI captions and ease of use. I also discovered that you can set the export resolution to 'Custom' and choose '4K' with 'High Bitrate' to keep the quality. And I found the 'Project Sync' feature in CapCut's settings to sync with my PC, which is perfect. I'm going to test it with my next Shorts. Appreciate the help, everyone!
