Hey everyone, I've been posting Reels consistently for about 3 months now. I edit everything in Premiere Pro, make sure the pacing is snappy, add captions, trending audio, the works. But every single Reel flatlines at around 200-300 views within the first hour and then just dies. My watch time is around 80-90%, and I get a few comments and saves, but it never breaks through. I'm starting to think it's my editing style – maybe it's too 'YouTube' and not native enough to Reels? Or is the algorithm just not pushing my content because I'm a small account?
I've tried posting at different times, using hooks in the first 2 seconds, and even duplicating my best performing Reel with different audio. Nothing seems to work. I'd love to hear from anyone who's cracked the code on getting past that initial plateau. Is there a specific editing trick or format that signals to the algorithm that your content deserves a bigger push? Or is it just a numbers game until you hit a certain follower count?
