Hey everyone, I've been creating talking-head videos for my YouTube channel for about six months now. I shoot with a Sony A7 IV and a 35mm f/1.8 lens, using a softbox as my key light and a reflector for fill. I feel like my footage always looks flat and lifeless compared to other creators. I've tried adjusting the picture profile but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I edit in DaVinci Resolve Studio and I've watched tons of tutorials on color grading, but when I apply corrections, it either looks too orange or too green, or I end up with a weird contrast that makes my skin look patchy. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Maybe it's my lighting setup, or maybe I'm missing a key step in post. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
