Hey everyone! I run a small channel focused on DIY tech builds, and I had a crazy run last month: three of my Shorts blew up (one hit 2.1M views, the other two crossed 800K). I was ecstatic – subs went from 3K to 18K. But now, my last 8 Shorts are stuck under 500 views each, and my average view duration has dropped from 90% to 60%. I haven't changed my content style or posting schedule (still daily at 6 PM EST).

I'm trying to figure out if this is a normal algorithm 'reset' after a viral spike, or if I'm doing something wrong. I use YouTube Studio's 'Retention' graph to tweak intros, but it's not helping.
