Hey everyone! I've been creating videos for about two years now, mostly tech reviews and tutorials. I've got a decent subscriber base (around 80K) but my revenue is still heavily reliant on AdSense. I want to diversify into affiliate marketing, but I'm overwhelmed by the options – Amazon Associates, niche-specific programs, and even some newer platforms I've heard about. What are the most effective strategies you're using to turn views into affiliate commissions without alienating your audience?
I've tried putting affiliate links in my video descriptions, but click-through rates are abysmal. I've also heard about using tools like Linktree or Throne to manage links, but I'm not sure which is best for YouTube. Any advice on how to integrate affiliate marketing naturally into my content, and maybe some specific products or niches that work well for tech audiences? Also, what are your thoughts on promoting affiliate products versus creating your own merch? I'm trying to plan my monetization strategy for the rest of 2026.
