Best way to stream 4K60 to YouTube with a dual-PC setup?
Hey everyone! I'm finally upgrading to a dual-PC streaming setup and I want to push 4K60 to YouTube. My gaming PC is a Ryzen 9 7950X with an RTX 4090, and my streaming PC is a Ryzen 7 5800X with an RTX 3060 Ti. I'm using OBS Studio 30.2 on both. I've got a capture card (Elgato 4K60 Pro MK.2) but I'm confused about the best way to get the highest quality without breaking the bank on bandwidth. Should I use NVENC on the streaming PC or the gaming PC? And what bitrate should I target for 4K60 HDR? Also, is there a way to use the RTX 3060 Ti's encoder while keeping the gaming PC's GPU free? I've seen some people use NDI, but I'm worried about latency and quality loss. Any advice would be awesome!
Best royalty-free music libraries that don't sound like elevator music?
Hey everyone, I'm a small YouTube creator (about 8k subs) making cinematic travel vlogs. I've been using YouTube Audio Library for background music, but honestly, most tracks feel generic and 'stocky'—like something from a 2010s PowerPoint. I want music that has emotion, builds tension, and feels cinematic without breaking the bank. I've heard of Epidemic Sound, Artlist, and Musicbed. But I'm on a tight budget (around $15/month max). Are there any hidden gems or libraries that offer high-quality, unique tracks for indie creators? Also, do any of these services let you use the same track across multiple videos without extra fees? I'm worried about copyright claims later.
TikTok views tanked after switching to 4K uploads – algorithm shadowban or quality issue?
Hey everyone, I've been grinding on TikTok for about 6 months and was consistently hitting 50k-200k views per video. Last week I upgraded my camera to a Sony A7IV and started exporting in 4K at 60fps (H.265, 50Mbps) to keep maximum quality. Since then, my last 5 videos have barely broken 500 views each. The content style is identical – same niche (cinematic travel edits), same hooks, same hashtag strategy. I'm wondering if TikTok's compression algorithm actually penalizes higher bitrate files because they take longer to process on their end, or if the file size triggers some kind of upload timeout. I've seen conflicting info – some say 1080p is still the sweet spot, others claim 4K gets better encoding. My export settings: Premiere Pro, 3840x2160, Main10 profile, 50Mbps VBR 2-pass, AAC 320kbps audio. File sizes are about 350-500MB for a 60-second clip. Has anyone experienced this? Should I go back to 1080p or is there a specific encoding tweak that works better for TikTok? Also, does the app prefer lower frame rates like 30fps? I'm desperate to get my reach back.
First short film critique: Color grading feels off in dark scenes – any advice?
Hey everyone, I’m working on my first short film (a 10-minute noir-inspired piece) and I’m struggling with color grading in the darker scenes. I shot on a Sony A7S III in S-Log3, and I’m using DaVinci Resolve Studio 18.6. The problem is that in the shadows (around 10-20 IRE), the image gets this muddy green tint that I can’t seem to balance without crushing blacks or introducing noise. I’ve tried the color warper and curves, but it feels like I’m chasing my tail. I’m grading on a calibrated Asus ProArt PA279CV monitor (DCI-P3, 100 cd/m²) in a dark room. My timeline is UHD 3840x2160 at 23.976fps, and I’m using a CST from S-Log3/S-Gamut3.cine to Rec.709 with a custom LUT I made from a still. The issue persists even after adjusting the Lift and Gamma wheels. Any suggestions on how to clean up the shadows without losing detail? I’ll attach a screenshot of the waveform and a frame grab in the replies. Also, is there a better noise reduction workflow for low-light S-Log3? I’m using Neat Video v5 but it’s softening edges. Thanks in advance!
First week on YouTube Shorts – 0 views on my best edit. What am I missing?
Hey everyone, I've been editing long-form content for about two years, but I decided to finally start a Shorts channel to grow an audience. I posted my first video five days ago – a fast-paced 15-second edit of a cinematic drone shot with a trending audio clip, perfectly synced to the beat. I used the native YouTube Shorts camera for the upload, added #shorts and some niche hashtags, and even made a custom thumbnail. But after five days, the analytics show 0 views, 0 impressions, and 0 swipe-away rate. It's like the video doesn't exist. I'm using Premiere Pro 2025 to edit, exporting in 1080x1920 at 60fps, H.264, bitrate around 12 Mbps. The file size is under 50 MB. I've checked the community tab, refreshed the page, and even tried re-uploading from a clean account. Nothing. Has anyone else hit this invisible wall? I'm starting to wonder if YouTube's algorithm is shadowbanning new creators or if there's a technical issue with how Shorts are indexed. Any insight would be huge.
Best AI Tools for Automated Color Grading in DaVinci Resolve 2026?
Hey everyone, I've been diving deep into AI-assisted workflows in DaVinci Resolve Studio 18.6 (beta) and I'm specifically looking for the best AI tools for automated color grading. I'm currently using the built-in 'Color Slice' and 'Magic Mask' features, but I'm wondering if there are any third-party plugins or standalone apps that can handle complex scene-referred grading with ACEScct. I'm working on a short film with mixed lighting (daylight, tungsten, and some LED RGB) and I want to maintain consistency across shots without spending hours on manual corrections. I've heard about 'Dehancer' and 'FilmConvert' but I'm not sure if they have AI-driven auto-matching features. Also, does anyone have experience with the new 'Neural Engine' in Resolve for skin tone detection? Any recommendations for a streamlined AI grading pipeline would be awesome!
