Shorts getting 0 views from Shorts feed – is my aspect ratio or upload method wrong?
Hey everyone! I've been posting YouTube Shorts for about a month now, and while my long-form videos get decent traction, my Shorts are basically stuck at 0–10 views from the Shorts feed. They only get views when I share them on my community tab or social media. I'm filming on my iPhone 15 Pro in vertical mode (9:16), and I edit in CapCut, exporting at 1080x1920. I also make sure the video is under 60 seconds and I include #Shorts in the title and description. I thought I was doing everything right, but the algorithm seems to ignore them completely. I've checked my video details in YouTube Studio, and it says 'Shorts' is the video type, so it's not being misclassified. But still, the Shorts feed just doesn't pick them up. Could it be that I'm uploading via the 'Select files' option on the desktop version instead of using the mobile app? Or is there something about the resolution or frame rate that I'm missing?
